Munira Kantawala, Owner & Reg Physiotherapist
Hello, I’m Munira Kantawala, the founder of Zen Physio Inc. and a licensed physiotherapist with a special interest in pediatric care and a broad scope of experience in adult musculoskeletal therapy. With over 18 years of clinical experience, I am passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services for individuals across the lifespan—from infancy through adulthood.
My journey began in pediatric physiotherapy, where I’ve had the privilege of working with children from newborns to teenagers, as well as adults with pediatric-onset conditions. Supporting children as they achieve developmental milestones and helping families navigate the challenges of growth and movement has always been a deeply rewarding part of my work. Pediatric physiotherapy remains a core focus of my practice, driven by a fascination with early motor development and a belief in tailored, family-centered care.
At the same time, I’m equally committed to helping adults overcome pain, recover from injuries, and improve function. My approach to adult physiotherapy is holistic—I aim to identify and address the root causes of dysfunction, rather than simply treating symptoms. Whether working with postural imbalances, chronic conditions, or acute injuries, I emphasize education, prevention, and long-term wellness.
In January 2024, I founded Zen Physio Inc. to bring together my dual passions—supporting children in their development and helping adults achieve optimal physical health. Zen Physio is built on the values of personalized care, accessibility, and trust, offering a safe and welcoming environment for every patient.
I’m proud to be supported by a growing team of skilled and compassionate professionals who share my commitment to holistic, patient-centered care. Together, we aim to make physiotherapy a positive, empowering experience for individuals and families across all stages of life.
Outside of my professional life, I’m an avid reader and a long-time Formula 1 enthusiast—I've been following the sport closely since 1998. Whether it's diving into a good book or catching a Grand Prix on the weekend, I value moments that inspire curiosity and focus—qualities I also bring into my practice every day.
